We created Keiki Cards in 2022 because of the need to build math fact fluency for all keiki (children). Through our flashcards, we hope to improve fundamental math skills, as well as active recall, vocabulary, math facts, and memory. Keiki Cards are an interactive tool for teachers, guardians, and anyone working with children. Designed locally, they feature Native Hawaiian creatures, further connecting kids to Hawai'i’s culture. We aim to bring love, joy, and community to learning math.
ABOUT US
As a middle school math teacher for several years, Keiki Cards Hawai'i Founder, Charlie Clausner, saw that the current educational resources landscape has a one-size fits all approach to foundational math skills. Based on game-based learning Clausner uses in his own classroom, Keiki Cards was built to address this gap, and make learning math more culturally relevant, joyous, and community-based.
